Brass TV Mirror Installation

A recent project in a luxury Central London apartment gave us the opportunity to create a large portrait mirror TV with a bespoke brass TV frame, designed to become an architectural feature of the room rather than simply another television on the wall.

The project came to us through an AV installer we have successfully worked with before. We regularly work alongside AV installers, interior designers and architects to create bespoke mirror TV solutions, combining the technical requirements of a project with the materials, proportions and finishes needed to complement the surrounding interior.

A Full-Wall Portrait Mirror TV

The design featured a large portrait-format mirror extending vertically across the wall, with the television discreetly positioned behind dielectric Mirror TV Glass.

Large portrait mirrors and full-wall mirror TV installations are a regular part of the bespoke projects we produce. The proportions, television position, mirror dimensions and surrounding frame can all be designed around the individual space, allowing the finished installation to feel like an integral part of the interior.

When the television is switched off, the screen disappears behind the dielectric Mirror TV Glass, allowing the installation to work as an elegant full-height feature mirror.

When switched on, the television becomes visible through the dielectric Mirror TV Glass, providing the functionality of a television without permanently introducing a large black screen into the room.

This ability to conceal technology is one of the main advantages of a mirror TV, particularly in carefully considered interiors where every element of the room has been designed to work together.

Finished with a Brass TV Frame

One of the defining features of this installation was the brass TV frame surrounding the mirror.

The warm metallic finish worked beautifully with the interior of the apartment and gave the installation a refined, architectural appearance.

Rather than looking like a television with a frame added around it, the mirror, dielectric Mirror TV Glass and brass frame were designed to read as one complete feature within the room.

Brass and gold finishes work particularly well with mirror TV installations because they introduce warmth around the reflective glass. For interiors incorporating brass lighting, furniture details, handles or other metallic finishes, a gold mirror TV or brass-framed mirror can become part of the wider design language of the space.

Working with AV Installers, Interior Designers and Architects

Much of our work at Frame Your TV is carried out in collaboration with AV installers, interior designers and architects.

These relationships allow the mirror TV to be considered as part of the wider project rather than treated as a standalone product added towards the end.

For this Central London apartment, we worked in collaboration with the AV installer who provided the TV and arranged the wall preparation as needed. Our role was to provide the bespoke mirror TV element of the project, bringing together the dielectric Mirror TV Glass, portrait proportions and brass TV frame to achieve the required finished appearance.

This collaborative approach is particularly valuable on high-end residential and hospitality projects, where technology needs to work alongside the architecture and interior design rather than compete with it.

The finished installation achieved exactly that. The television is available when required, while the large portrait mirror and brass frame become the visual feature when the screen is switched off.

Most importantly, the customer was extremely happy with how the finished mirror TV looked in the apartment.

From Bespoke Project to Luxury Mirror TV

The Central London installation also reflects the direction of our growing Luxury Mirror TV collection.
